Beyond Beliefs is for people experiencing persistent anxiety, depression, chronic stress, relationship difficulties, physical symptoms and other forms of suffering that keep recurring despite their best efforts to change.
By gently investigating these recurring patterns, we begin to understand why symptoms develop and why they often persist long after the original conditions have changed. This might also show up as an unfulfilled life or simply a lingering sense that something is fundamentally wrong.
How I Work
Traditional therapy often focuses on managing symptoms or replacing “negative” thoughts with “positive” ones. While that can offer short-term relief, lasting change rarely comes from willpower or reframing alone.
My work focuses on understanding how your nervous system has been organised by your experiences. Anxiety, depression, chronic stress, relationship difficulties and even physical symptoms are not random flaws, they are patterns shaped by conditions you did not consciously choose.
Together we explore how and why these patterns formed and how they continue to operate in your life now. When you can see the belief as a pattern rather than a truth, its grip can naturally loosen. The sense that you need fixing will soften and the struggle against your own experience eases.
As well as recognising patterns of thought and belief, it’s important for you to become aware of the sensations arising within your body. Most of us live almost entirely in our heads, caught up in thinking and storytelling. We forget we have a body and forget to notice the constantly changing landscape of internal sensations created by our nervous system.
You are not broken and this is not about becoming someone new. It is about understanding how you came to be as you are and allowing what no longer serves you to dissolve and your nervous system to reorganise to allow a greater sense of peace, authenticity and compassion.
